With over sixty commissioning documents this was a large, complex tender. The time scale for completion was very tight leading to challenges in mobilising the resources, assets and services quickly across a wide bid covering the whole East region.
The bid required our client to meet very stringent quality, health and safety standards with which we supported them to comply. The commissioners sought a high level of innovation from contractors including ideas and plans for technology that would advance operations.
Our client had a Research and Development team that was focused on introducing Artificial Intelligence, robotics and self-driving vehicle technology to the role of highways maintenance.
